Required for assembly

A simple zigzag stitch works well

Stitching the Panels

Before you begin: Choose one size — A, B, C, or D — and stitch all panels for that size before moving to assembly.

Hoop size: 5” x 7” (use files D), 6” x 10” (use files B or C), 7” x 10” (use files A)

Step 1 — Hoop & Position Fabric

Hoop your stabilizer. Stitch the 1st color stop to create the placement outline. Layer 1× batting + 1× fabric on top of the outline, and use adhesive spray to hold the layers securely in place.

Step 2 — Secure the Layers

Stitch the next color stop. This will lock the fabric and batting into the hoop.

Step 3 — Work Through the Color Chart

Continue stitching each color stop in sequence. Refer to the color chart included with your design files.

Step 4 — Attach the Lining

1.     Remove the hoop from the machine and turn it over.

2.     Spray adhesive to the back and attach the lining fabric.

3.     Reattach the hoop to the machine and stitch the next color stop — this is the running stitch that secures the lining.

4.     Remove the hoop again and turn it face-up.

5.     Trim away excess lining fabric, then reattach the hoop to the machine.

Step 5 — Satin Outline

Stitch the final color stop: the satin outline that finishes and frames each panel.

Step 6 — Remove & Trim

Remove the design from the hoop and carefully cut away any excess stabilizer around the panel.

Assembly

1. Join the Upright Panels Using matching thread (same as your satin outline) or invisible thread, join the one seam of the two upright panels together.

Use the same thread top and bottom for satin outlines — this ensures a neat, professional finish

2. Attach the Uprights to the Base

  • Mark the center points of the base panel.

  • Starting at the joined seam, stitch one half of the upright section to the base.

  • Work from the open end of the upright panels and join around to the base.

  • Close the second side seam to complete the basket body.

3. Attach the Handle Stitch the handle securely to opposite sides of the basket.

4. Finishing Trim away any excess thread — and your basket is complete! 🎉
