How To: Make the Whispering Roses Box

This is a Step by Step photo Tutorial on how to make the Whispering Roses Boxes. This tutorial can also be used on the other boxes:

  • Box de Triomphe
  • Crinoline Duo Boxes
  • Babushka Duo Boxes
  • Peacock Duo Boxes
  • Romantic Duo Boxes
  • Roman Classic Boxes 01
  • Roman Classic Boxes 02
  • Freestanding Lace Ivory Splendor Boxes

 

Step 1: 

Stitch out:

  • 1 x base panel,
  • 2 x lid panels
  • 6 x side panels.

Basic applique techniques. Kindly note that our applique box is neatly lined on the inside. (this step is included in the design)

Step 2:

Box: With zigzag stitch and invisible thread, sew the side panels to the base panel.

Step 3:

Close-up view of attached side panels top base panels.

Step 4:

Now "zigzag" the side panels together. (side-to-side)

 

Step 5:

Lid: With zigzag stitch and invisible thread, sew the 2 panels together. Attach your lid and embellishment and your Whispering Roses Box is ready for use.

Your final product can be decorated with embellishments according to your theme.

  • Toiletries Box 
  • Jewelry Box etc
